Dr Waleed Ahmed

Dr Waleed Ahmed is an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist with a strong background in both NHS and independent healthcare settings, as well as international clinical experience. He completed his specialist training in Psychiatry in the UK, including working at the Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, before progressing to a Consultant role. Dr Ahmed has been a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists since 2008 and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of care through ongoing professional development. He follows current national guidelines to ensure evidence-based, safe, and effective assessment and treatment. In addition to his clinical work, Dr Ahmed works with the General Medical Council (GMC) as a Mental Health Assessor and Supervisor, supporting doctors referred to the GMC in relation to conduct concerns. He has also worked with the GMC as a Certification Specialist (Article 14), contributing to the assessment of doctors’ eligibility for specialist registration.
He has extensive experience in assessing and treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including:

• Adult ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Anxiety disorders
• Depression and complex affective disorders, including psychotic depression
• Bipolar disorder
• Psychotic disorders
• Personality disorders

Dr Ahmed offers comprehensive, patient-centred assessments and works collaboratively with individuals to develop tailored treatment plans. He is also trained in advanced treatment approaches, including prescribing and managing Flow devices and delivering repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS).
