Part of your session will be dedicated to:

Mind/Body Awareness Techniques
The majority of your session will focus on teaching you how to listen to your body and enhance both bodily and mental control. This is achieved through the use of Yoga and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) techniques.
These practices can help you:
- Recognise early signs of relapse
- Manage stressful situations
- Improve sleep, anxiety, depression, and pain tolerance
- Support weight management
Your clinician will guide you through:
- Grounding techniques
- Pranayama (breathing exercises)
- Asanas (yoga postures), tailored to your physical health, strength, and flexibility
No prior knowledge of yoga is required.
These are complementary therapies designed to support your mental health and are not formal treatments for mental health conditions.
Nutritional Psychiatry
Nutritional psychiatry can also be incorporated into your sessions. This includes:
- A thorough review of your current diet
- Optional blood tests for:
- B12, ferritin, folate, FBC
- Lipid profile (cholesterol, LDL, HDL, Non-HDL, CHO:HDL ratio, triglycerides)
- TSH and vitamin D
Your psychiatrist will work with you to optimise your nutritional intake to help meet recommended daily levels of essential vitamins and minerals, supporting your mental health, physical health, and weight management.
